This totem pole was carved by Haida carver Pat Dixon (1938-2015).  It stands 5 1/4" tall and is beautifully carved of Argillite rock.  It is etch signed and dated on the back.  Pat is of the Eagle clan and began working with well known Haida carver, Pat McGuire in 1966 - so this is one of his earlier pieces.  Skidegate, Pat's home, is in the Queen Charlotte Islands of British Columbia.  There is a shallow scratch on the back left edge.  However overall, this wonderful totem carving is in very good all original condition, the eagle beak and all the edges are good.
