    Harry Heye Tammen was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1856. He moved to Denver in 1880 and started the H. H. Tammen & Co. (also known as the H. H. Tammen Curio Co.) with his business partner, Charles A. Stuart. The company sold colorized prints and postcards shot by different photographers and became Colorado's largest postcard publisher. Tammen died in 1924 and the H. H. Tammen & Co. stayed in business until circa 1953-1962.
